GIS Computer Programming: Module 1

This is a new class and I am now learning Python, which is the computer programming language ArcGIS uses. We were tasked with generating our last name, fixing errors within a dice game and creating loops. In the screenshot below the first part of the script is a simulated dice game. The second part of the script generates a list of 20 random numbers between 1 and 10, identifies the presence of a predetermined number in the list, counts the occurrences of said number and either states number is not in list or states the number the quantity of times to be removed from the list and then prints the list.

Comments: For this to be a beginner class, I am already lost. I thought I was getting it until I opened the lab assignment and was instantly at a loss of what to do first. Thankfully UWF GIS has a YouTube channel and I was able to find help there. I hope the next lab goes better, because this one was a complete disappointment.

GIS Portfolio

The final assignment in the GIS Certificate Program was to create a GIS Portfolio. It went as I expected. It is hard to write about yourself...
